AntiVirus — Virus Cleaner

A scanner that actually tells you what it found. It looks at the apps installed on your device and the files stored on it, grades each finding by severity, and explains the fix. Nothing is uploaded — the scan runs on your phone.

What it does

com.coopresapps.free.antivirus

Two scan modes — an app scan and a file scan — plus a system check that reports risky settings such as an outdated security patch level or development options left enabled.

Features

Everything below works offline. The app only needs a connection to load ads and check for updates.

App scan

Reads every installed app's manifest, permissions, components, signing certificate and install source. Findings are graded, and apps from trusted sources are exempted.

File scan

Inspects files on your device for suspicious packages, double extensions and unsafe archives, and reports files it cannot parse instead of silently skipping them.

System check

Reports genuinely risky settings — accessibility services held by untrusted apps, device admin grants, unknown-source installs, and more. Absent settings are reported as such rather than as a risk.

Advanced Protection

Four optional extras: real-time protection, file anti-tamper, a data privacy guard, and an app-lock style watchdog over the settings that matter.

Trusted list

Anything you mark as trusted stops being reported. You can review and undo those decisions at any time from the settings screen.

Works offline

The scan engine, the rules and the signature database all live on the device. Premium stays unlocked even without a connection.

Free, or one-time Premium

AntiVirus is free and supported by ads. Premium removes ads and unlocks the four Advanced Protection features.

Premium is a single one-time purchase — not a subscription. It never auto-renews, and there is nothing to cancel. Because it is a one-time in-app product, restoring it is tied to the Google account that bought it, so reinstalling the app brings it back without paying again.

Permissions, and why

A security app needs broader access than most. Here is exactly what each permission is used for, so you can judge it yourself.

PermissionWhy the app asks
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES To list the apps installed on your device — the core of an app scan. Without it the scanner could only see a handful of packages.
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE To scan files you choose to scan, and to remove files you explicitly select. The app never touches files outside a scan you started.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
The same file access on Android 12 and below, where the all-files permission does not exist.
INTERNET
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
To load ads, download rule updates, and check whether a scan can fetch fresh data. Actual scanning works without a connection.

The app does not request contacts, calendar, camera, microphone, location, SMS or phone permissions. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
